What is Yoga?

Yoga doctrine for the first time emerged in India. Yoga is an ancient art that has been practiced for over 5,000 years through movement and non-movement to achieve a balanced state of being.


Is Yoga for Me?

Yoga is for everyone, not just those who are physically fit. Yoga’s benefits are varied, comprehensive and far reaching. Most postures have simple variations that everyone can do. You do not have to be strong, well-toned, flexible or personally integrated to start yoga. These attributes could be gained through regular yoga practice.


The Types of classes AFF offers:

Classes are targeted toward gradual but steady progress, rather than quick and fleeting results. There is a precise and careful attention to physical alignment, an insistence on on integrated and balanced development, and an emphasis on postures to develop strength, endurance and suppleness.

* We recommend that you practice at least twice a week on an empty stomach


Beginner


This class is designed to introduce you to the art of yoga. Fundamental postures will be introduced and also you learn breathing, movement and relaxation techniques.



Restorative Yoga


An excellent addition to your practice. It is a slow class but incredibly rewarding to your strong daily practice. Beginners are also welcome.

Private: Special attention is given to the student. Personal programs are developed for chronic conditions, injury and ailments. Call for appointments.
